Aflagat is a product company. We build technology we own, put it into operation, and stay responsible for it.
We do not take on client development, consulting or outsourced work. Every product on this site is one we decided to build, and one we run.
How we choose
We start from a system that can work better.
Not from a brief, and not from a market category. Each product begins with an everyday process — attendance and accountability at work, preparing for an examination, finding practical experience — that people already depend on and that technology can carry more reliably.
Operating for the long term
Building it is the first part. Running it is the longer one.

We put the product into real use rather than leaving it as a proposal.

Aflagat operates in Ethiopia. East Africa, the wider continent and markets beyond it describe where we intend to go, not where we are.
Origin
Aflagat Trading PLC was established in Addis Ababa in 2024.
Its founders studied at universities in the United States and wanted to return what they learned toward building technology for Ethiopia and the wider continent.
The name
Aflagat comes from Ge'ez and is associated with rivers and streams — movement, continuity and ideas carried outward. It describes how we work more than what we make.
