Addis Ababa, Ethiopia

Building technology for systems that matter.

Aflagat builds and operates technology products across workforce management, education, commerce, marketing and emerging technologies— starting in Ethiopia and designed to scale beyond it.

We build products for systems we believe can work better.

We identify real needs, design technology around them, operate the products we create and continue improving them over the long term.

Addis Ababa

Technology for a city in motion.

Addis Ababa is growing quickly. As institutions, infrastructure and everyday life evolve, new systems are needed to support that growth. It is where Aflagat starts.

Built in Ethiopia.
Designed to travel.

We begin by solving problems close to home. Many of the systems that need improvement in Ethiopia are shared by growing economies elsewhere, and we build with that future in mind.

Principles

01

Build for the long term

We develop and operate our products rather than treating software as one-off projects.

02

Start with real problems

Technology is useful when it improves systems people actually depend on.

03

Build to world-class standards

Our products begin in Ethiopia without being limited by it.

The company

Aflagat Trading PLC was established in Addis Ababa in 2024.

Its founders studied at universities in the United States and wanted to return what they learned toward building technology for Ethiopia and the wider continent.

The name

Aflagat comes from Ge'ez and is associated with rivers and streams — movement, continuity and ideas flowing outward. It describes how we work more than what we make.
